The Spirit of Giving at CMD

This holiday season, CMD employees came together in the giving spirit by volunteering at Feeding America, Eastern Wisconsin, joining them in their efforts to solve hunger in our communities.

Employees were offered the opportunity to give back to the community through the Holiday Give Back – Volunteering Program. The company pays for your employees’ time away from work while volunteering for the Give Back program. There were opportunities on different days for different shifts, so most of us could participate.

“We are very pleased with the overwhelming participation from our employees,” says CMD President, Ricardo Abud. “Nearly 150 hours were donated to Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin, helping people in need in our own local communities.”

Employee comments on their experiences included:

• “It was a great experience and a real eye-opener.”
• “Our team packaged 4000 pounds of corn!”
• “It’s great to work together and have fun while doing good!”
• “Our team packaged 900# of cereal, labeled 2000 pizzas and built 1500 boxes!”

CMD Corporate Social Responsiblity Program

The Holiday Give Back is part of CMD’s overall Corporate Social Responsibility program, which includes volunteering, internal employee enrichment and community outreach events, fund-raising and charitable support and advocacy. The objective of the program is to enhance employee opportunities to make a positive difference in our communities while supporting positive employee experiences with CMD.
